Does Playing Flash Games Heighten your Reflexes?

We all know what flash games are, simple online browser games that are run with the program Adobe Flash Player. But can they heighten your reflexes by playing them?

There are no concrete studies or researchers saying so, but it’s a viable theory. After all, flash games require you to be quick on the draw with your mouse or your keys, to score points, to survive, to get that next upgrade or to simply win the game. Not all flash games are like this but an overwhelming number of them do require you to be quick, featuring either an actual timer, or simply a negative event that occurs if you miss the cue to do something or other, whether that’s jumping, shooting, or pressing a button.

It’s obvious that they require hand-eye co-ordination, but reflexes are another matter. While there’s no reliable material saying they do heighten reflexes, it’s certainly no stretch of the imagination to say that they do, with the volume of speed centric games out there on the internet. Even if they don’t heighten your reflexes though, you can always find a few that are entertaining to pass the time on, so what’s the harm in playing?
